Our Story
The name Silk Route Heritage was inspired by the extraordinary cultural exchange that took place along the historic Silk Route.
Merchants travelled with silk, spices, textiles and precious goods, but they also carried something less tangible — ideas, traditions, artistic techniques and stories.
Craft travelled with people.
Weaving techniques were passed from one generation to another. Embroidery styles evolved. Colours and patterns became associated with particular regions and communities. What was created with the hands became part of a people's identity.
We wanted to create a collection that celebrates that living heritage.
Not something distant or forgotten.
Something that can still be worn, treasured, used and enjoyed today.
